Where was Newman

On Thursday rerurn (The Kenny Rogers episode) there was a plot inconsistency. When Jerry confronts Newman in the Kenny Rogers check out line, why doesn't Newman go back to Jerry 's apartment with Jerry? After all, the chicken is for both Newman and Kramer, presumably Kramer gave Newman half the money for the purchase. Would Newman have it any other way? Of course not. So where did Newman go with the chicken? He doesn't need to hide the truth from Jerry anymore as Jerry figured it it all out so logically he should go back to Jerry's aprtment. Why then, does only Jerry go back to the partment? Kramer should have asked "Jerry did you see Newman?" Did Newman eat it all by himself? Just curious

On last night's rerun (the classic Kenny Rogers show), there was an inconsistency regarding Newman. The writers missed a plot line. At the end of the show, Jerry goes into Kenny's and sees Newman about to leave with enough for two. Jerry is on his way out to and he has the hilarious bit about the broccoli with Newman after both have paid. Since Newman is buying the chicken for himself and Kramer, why doesn't he walk back to Jerry's partment with Jerry. The secret is up so he doesn't have to hide from Jerry any more. But only Jerry goes back to the apartment to have the confrontation with Kramer. Why didn't Newman go back to Jerry's partment with Jerry? After all, he and Kramer had both presumably paid for the chicken and Kramer was waiting for him. So where did Newman go with all that chicken? DId he hog it all for himsel and return to his own palce in the same bldg? And why didn't Kramer ask Jerry: Where is Newman with my chicken. The writers have to do anew ending to this.

Newman couldn't let Jerry know that Kramer was hooked on the chicken because then Jerry would make Kramer move back into his apartment (because Jerry wouldn't have to worry about Kramer trying to put Kenny Roger's (and Seth) out of business)

Yeah, the restaurant also INSTANTLY went out of business. There's an explanation for both of these oddities...its FICTION.
