Site owner seeks free search engine alternatives after SiteMiner discontinuation, receives recommendations for Atomz and Freefind, successfully implements Atomz.

MyComputer.com has discontinued the use of their FREE "SiteMiner" search engine.

I use it on my site and many people have used it to search my pages to research some aspect of Seinfeld trivia - such as.. finding the references to "Festivus" etc.

As of April 1 I regret I will have to eliminate the Site Miner search ability since my site generates no revenue for me and I do not wish to pay with more than my time in keeping it going.

Does anyone know of any other service that does this for free? If so I will add it.

I use www.atmoz.com there is also www.freefind.com

Thanks to Steve Emery for the suggestion. I am now using ATOMZ for a site search engine and it is much better, more sophisticated than the SiteMiner I was using before.
