Hey guys,

Why is it that there is two guys who played Frank Costanza? Does anyone know when the change in Frank Costanza occured. I just saw the Handicap Spot and noticed a different Frank.

Good question. When "The Handicap Spot" first aired in May 93, the part of Frank was played by John Randolph. Four months later, Jerry Stiller played the part of Frank in "The Puffy Shirt". Two years after that, when the early shows were to be sold to syndication, the scenes from "The Handicap Spot" were reshot using Stiller, but the new 'version' was only made for US syndication. Overseas viewers still got the original version with Randolph.

You should feel lucky, most everyone in the US has never seen the John
