I would stick most of the others from your list below number 10, although I agree that most are pretty good. I must say I disagree with you on both Crazy Joe Davola and Newman, who I think are pretty weak characters. That's just my personal opinion, though, obviously. BTW, I can't remember who was Sue Ellen Mischke? The name sounds so familiar, but I can't seem to recall who that is.

The supporting cast member list should be limited to characters that have appeared more than once. That would rule out Donna Chang and The Doorman. Sue Ellen Mischke is the braless Oh Henry candy bar heiress. Alsoe how can any top 10 supporting cast member list be complete without Babu?

I'm glad you caught the definition of semi-regular. A lot of folks didn't. There are a number of great one-shots (Soup Nazi, Sidra). But I didn't ask for those.

Babu is at least top 15 material, granted; what fascinates me about the Babu plotline is that it shows Jerry at his most beneficent. I can't quite put my finger on it, but since a kinder, gentler Jerry is not a typical Jerry, I think its peculiar, to say least. I have actually assisted three Indian citizens to obtain permanent resident status in this country, and never quite felt that I deserved the gratitude I received in return; although I certainly basked in its glow, I felt a little guilty since I re ally hadn't done much more than fill out paperwork on my company's time. I mean, I was happy to do it, but I must say, Jerry's Statue of Liberty-like embrace of Babu's cause struck a chord of familiar false pride with me.

Guess that's why this is great comedy. We can laugh at the human condition.

I like the character of Jack in the Phase II condo development (where Morty was impeached). "After the vote,you'll have plenty of time to tool around in your new cadillac". By the way, who is the actor playing the part of Jack?

Jack Klompus is played by Sandy Baron. I never saw him act before. He used to appear on a lot of daytime game shows in the 1970's.

Wow, no kidding, Sandy Baron? I remember him from a very short-lived sitcom from the mid-60's, so obscure I can't even remember the name, but I'm pretty sure he played one-half of a pair of young batchelor friends. But that's going back 30 years now, and even the young have been known to age. Thanks for the info. You made my day.

The show possibly might have been part of a trio of sitcoms packaged together as "90 Bristol Court", about life in an L.A. apartment complex (90 referring to the 3x30 minute format). One of the show's title characters was a teenage chick named "Karen" (The theme went something like "She's a doll, she's a teen, she's as gentle as a queen, and Karen--is her name"), and another show starred Jack Klugman as "Harris", the much-put-upon super who was always griping "Somebody up there hates me", or "Why me? Why is it always me?", or some similar sad-sack lament. The third show may have starred Sandy Baron. I could be wrong, but if I am, his show was definitely on around the same time (1964 or 1965). Can anybody verify this?

Also, the female character named Evelyn who lives in the Seinfeld's Florida condo complex (she is the one who tells Morty what the vote situation is during his impeachment procedings) is played by Anne Morgan Guilbert, the same actress who portrayed Mille Helper, Laura Petrie's best friend, on "The Dick Van Dyke Show."

..and she currently portrays Grandma Yetta on The Nanny.

Sandy Baron was in a sitcom in the '60s, playing, ironically enough, a swinging bachelor type. Kind of frightening to think of how he looked then as opposed to now, with all the liver spots. The character was one that John Ritter might play. I am at a total loss to name the sitcom, but I used to watch it quite regularly when I was young (I keep thinking it might be a show called "The Mothers-In-Law" that starred Kaye Ballard and Eve Arden, but it might have been on at around the same time).

For a look at him in the early '80s, rent the Woody Allen movie, "Broadway Danny Rose." He plays one of the guys sitting around the table in the Carnegie Deli telling Danny Rose stories.

Frank and Estelle Costanza are easily number one for me. I also like Sidra (Teri Hatcher) and the doorman.

I have never seen a single episode of Alf, but a friend of mine told me that the actress who plays Mrs. Seinfeld actually had a role in that show? Is that true?

Yes that is true. The woman who plays Mrs. Seinfeld played ALF's next door neighbor. Her name was Mrs. Ochmonic (sp?) She always thought she saw an alien next door, but she could never confirm it. ALF was a great show.

One of the best supporting cast members was Elaine's boyfriend Aaron, the 'CLOSETALKER' played by Judge Reinhold. Very amusing.

I also had a good laugh over another one of Elaine's boyfriends, the 'FACEPAINTER' who would paint his face before going to an ice-hockey game.
