Seinfeld cast on Oprah right now.

But only 4 minutes left. Did anyone watch it? I spit in the face of people who don't want to be cool.

I watched it this afternoon.

To me, it seemd like an uncomfortable reunion.. After Oprah interviewed Jerry for about 20 mins, she started introducing the rest of the cast...George, Elaine then Kramer. They all seemed to have these strained smiles stapled on their faces, particularly George, and despite declarations to the contrary, did not appear as if they were enjoying the reunion.

I could almost hear Seinfeld, imploring the other three in his high-pitched "Manic Jerry" voice as they sat together on Oprahs couch,

"Smile, you bastards! We have DVD's to sell...!"

First of all, Seinfeld is by far my favorite TV program of all time. However, I can't help but keep this reunion in perspective. I agree that the other three members of the cast made the show, but I'm sure we are all aware of the dispute involving Jason and Julia regarding their share of revenue from the DVD's:

Not to mention previous disputes about syndication revenue and the amount received per episode, while the show was still on the air....

Call me a cynic, but would the original cast be together on the set of Oprah if there wasn't a DVD to promote? I don't see everyone occupying a booth at Monk's, anytime soon...

I guess my interpretation of their appearance on Oprah was seen through my own cynical attitude. Really, it doesn't change that fact that "Seinfeld" was comic genius...
