Fans debate whether George gave a security guard a stool or rocking chair in an episode, with disagreement about which furniture item was actually used.
So what's the deal with the stool? I mean is it almost a chair? And who's idea was it, I mean who creates a chair-like thing that only half your ass fits on, and expects people the world over to sit on it with comfort?
(Note: Clearly I have too much free time. I promise I will fill my time with other things other then discussing stool's here...you have my word...)
I think what Joemovie is getting at is the episode where George can't stand watching the security guard at Susan's uncle's store standing all the time...so I think he winds up getting the security guard a stool to sit on...but then the store gets robbed because the guard falls asleep...I could be wrong...but that's my take on it.
Well, an attempt anyway. I, for one, find that stools take up much less space than chairs with backs, and they generally sit higher than regular chairs too. This makes them the ideal seating option for bars.
Now that I think about it, I'd place this in the Kramer-esque monologue category, alongside of "What's the deal with styrofoam?"
Hmm. Lemme take a stab at one.
What's the deal with airline food? I mean, Beef Stroganoff? Have you *seen* this stuff? Come on. I'm vomiting on my tray table and the guy next to me is asking for 3rds?!?

Hey, didn't I see that one on SNL when Jerry Seinfeld was hosting? I think it was another Jeopary-spoof, where the contestants had to come up with the correct Seinfeldian question (and in their best Jerry voice no less).
Adam Sandler kept giving the same incorrect response to every one: "Who were the advertising wizards that came up with *this* one?" One of the better game-show spoofs that SNL ever did.

Yeah, that was my idea...I told a girl this once in gym class (the stool thing) and she reacted with a "Who are you, Jerry Seinfeld?"...she also happened to be a Seinfeld fan...and if it wasn't for her boyfriend, I might have gotten laid...anyway...
andy kindler, a bitter, cynical, and hilarious comic, did a routine on dr katz, making fun of observational humor. "sugar free choclate. who's this for? i don't know. diabetics?" "insuline, what's that about??" believe me, you'd be on the floor if i remembered his exact wording.
