Fans discuss whether the characters split restaurant bills equally or take turns paying, with most agreeing they split costs and occasionally individuals pay when they have money.

I'm sure they split it up MOST of the time. Kramer paid when he won on his horse bet. George treated when he made a killing in the stock market. Jerry seems to pay for all once in a while. Elaine seems to carry her own weight much of the time and I do not remmeber her getting the bill for the group in any show.

It's a television show, they don't really pay anybody. Shhhhh, don't tell anybody else, it might ruin the show. (huge eye roll)
