Why don't the fucking British get Seinfeld? I heard BBC used to show it, but it bombed. What's wrong with this country?

In our defence, from what I've learnt here, Seinfeld didn't set the US on fire when it first aired there. They had to persist with it and then move it to a prime time slot before it really took off. It never got that kind of chance in the UK. So you can blame our TV execs, but don't blame the rest of us. :)

PS It did get a decent run on Paramount on cable.
Also we get a lot of the crap American sitcoms showing regularly here so a lot of the population see a USA made show and don't give it a chance, its usually full of lame jokes and canned laughter, Seinfeld,Cheers,and Mash the exceptions on the lame joke front, Rossanne, Cosby etc, incomprehensible rubbish. wrote in message news:8i7p3g$kki$[email]...
