What's the deal with the word "suck"? I have never in my life seen a newsgroup with so many mentions of the word suck. This sucked, that sucked. SUCK, SUCK, SUCK.
Can't you morons use some SYNONYMS of the word suck occasionally to sort of spice up the discussion? Just a suggestion
I'll go out on a limb and agree with you on this. It's difficult, though, to come up with decent substitutes for the all-purpose "suck." Let's take a simple sentence:
THE LAST EPISODE SUCKED!
Now, how else could someone phrase that?
* The last episode was poor in quality, if rich in advertising revenue. * The last episode was a disappointment to mankind, womankind, and dogkind. * The last episode failed to live up to admittedly absurd expectations. * The last episode bit the big one and several smaller ones. * The last episode drew liquid into its mouth by creating a vaccuum with its lips and tongue. * The last episode smelled a little funny. You didn't leave it out overnight, did you? * The last episode melted in my hand not in my mouth. * The last episode got peanut butter on my chocolate. * The last episode ate Mr. T's balls. * The last episode was the lesser of the two Darrins. * The last episode was Good's evil twin cousin, Bad. * The last episode was to comedy what haggis is to food. * The last episode stole my bike and rode away, laughing cruelly. * The last episode shot a man just to watch him die.

ass all the way back to Earth, sweetheart."
