Fans discuss whether Jerry actually uses his computer on the show, noting he gets up from it when people enter but is rarely shown actively using it, and debate which computer models appeared.

No, it's just for show.
But it did change from a Mac to a PC, right?
I'm pretty sure I've seen it switched on, and him get up, when someone walked in..... <shrugs>

As far as the type of computers, it went from a classic Mac (A classic or color classic, I think), then a PowerBook Duo with dock and monitor setup, and then a 20th anniversary mac towards the end... if I recall.

I believe Dan is correct about them all being Macs.
I did see an episode where Jerry was at the computer but maintained a conversation with one of the others from the chair at the desk.
I agree who wants to see him on it anyway?

At that time it has changed from a Mac Plus to a Mac II (?) - I am sure the Apple experts will know which version it is but it is certainly not a Plus in that episode.
