Why would she do such a thing? The Canadian dollar is worth much less than the American counterpart with the exchange set at about 32% between the two currencies.
I don't get your point. The reason she did it was because the Canadian dollar is worth less than the American ( and thus so is a Canadian quarter worth less than an American quarter). It would be like us putting plugs ( fake coins) into a machine so it would work and we wouldn't have to spend real money doing it.

When I was in high school, we would take field trips to Niagara Falls ( Canadian side). If you bought something with US money and asked for change in Canadian, you would get more back. Then you could go back to somewhere in the US that didn't care about Canadian change and get full face value for your quarters and dimes, etc.
At least in my hometown, out of five trips to the store you would probably get a couple Canadian coins in your change.

O.K., First time poster here, here we go! Besides the Canadian quarters in the washer, one of the reasons Elaine was evicted was because she had "buzzed up" a jewel thief. From the conversation it seemed that the thief had scored big in the building.
Was this is an episode?? If so, which one?
