Tonight's rerun-parodies

on tonight's rerun 3/24, it was the one where jerry's dad is kicked out as president and they have to leave the retirement community b\c of the cadillac. Anyway, I've always wondered what the movie is that they are parodying in the last scene (when they actually leave). Also what are they parodying when Kramer runs away from the cable guy? My suspicion is "The Firm". If anyone can help me out it would be appreciated. Thanks.

The Del Boca Vista episodes are hysterical. They can't repeat them enough to suit me.

I love it when the Costanzas the Seinfelds are fighting in Jerry's dressing room and Jerry says, "I know this doesn't seem like work to you, but could you take the pyschopath convention down the hall."

I was thinking more along the lines of "Point Break", but that was kind of a stretch. Remember, when Keanu Reeves is chasing Patrick Swayze? Wait... wasn't Swayze wearing a Richard Nixon mask?? Hmmm... and Morty was imitating Nixon? I may be wrong here, but if I'm right, that's pure genious and no one ever noticed.

i always assumed that it was a parody of "The Fugitive" That movie was in theatres when that episode ran.

The parody is of our president Nixon resigning and waving to his staff as he boards the army helicopter to leave his presidency behind. I'm not sure of the Kramer/Cable Guy chase scene.

But I do know that the last two scenes of 'The Cadillac - Part II' are included in my favorite Seinfeld moments. Morty's wave : ) And I die laughing during the cable guy's speech at Kramer's door at the very end. "I'm sorry ....I don't know why we do it, sob sob, <snip> ... If doctors can do it, then why can't we ...sob sob". It's priceless comedic writing.

And I hope all the cable companies are watching : - )
