I've always wondered why George didn't sue the Low Talker for pushing him into a hot iron, which burned his hands and essentially ruined his career as a hand model.
Even though she ended up financially ruined when the "Puffy Shirt" tanked, and then got dumped by Kramer, I'm still surprised that George didn't take legal action against her. I wouldn't think it would be that hard to win punitive damages in a case like that.

I think any normal person who touches fire or touches something hot, their immediate reaction is to move. No one is going to attempt to scar, and burn themselves.
I guess The Puffy Shirt is one of those spoofs, just a mistake... I don't think it's physically possible to hold onto something like an iron. And in the next episode, his hands were fine.

Surprisingly, if you touch something hot with an open palm, your reflex is to close the palm tight to avoid any further injury hence George's reaction is (if a little overblown) correct.

When I was in school and we had home ec, one girl was taking pastries out of hot oven and didn't have any mittens or towel to cover her hands, and she picked up the plate and held it for a while and after few seconds she threw to whole thing to the floor and screamed. I guess she didn't notice the heat right away so it took some time before she reacted. It looked like a cartoon moment when you'll fall down only after you notice that you're actually flying.
