Viewers question continuity between The Shoes and The Pilot regarding Elaine's knowledge of Jerry and George's show and her relationship with Russell.

from what I remember, Elaine was trying to manipulate Jerry & George into making script changes for the Elaine character in "Jerrry" . . . J&G didn't respond favorably to her ideas so she suggests that she should ask Russell about it when they go out on their next date . . . so to (preemptively) get back at Elaine, they suggest getting the tainted bouillabase . . .

I have another question here. Something that always annoyed me from the start.
Why in The Shoes do Jerry and George ask Elaine to tell Russel she liked the script, while later on in The Pilot, Russel talks to Elaine about Jerry and George's show and she replies as she doesn't know them?
