In the ratings for last week Jerry has taken the Number Two spot after "60 Minutes" and knocking "Roseanne" to Number Three.
"Frazier" in at Number Seven and Number One of the new shows.
John Larroquette's show is the first to be renewed. They will add 9 shows for total of 22 this season. He's at Number 54 but this is a 25% increase over the last show to occupy this spot.

OBSein - it's probably because the audience is already there from Seinfeld. And, ever notice how it starts almost IMMEDIATELY after Jerry's closing mono? Same deal.
Didn't you notice that Seinfeld's opening monologue started IMMEDIATELY after the Cheers credits last year. NBC knows what it's doing (in this case).

hey there, am i the only one who thinks that "frazier" is a really BORING show. as a matter of fact i find even the john larroquette (sp?) show more funny. the funniest new show is definetly "the second half". and not because my favorite seinfeld "once-in-a-while-regular" Numan is in it.

You must be joking about that "second half" show I think it was immediately disqualified because it has not one, but two precocious nymphettes from hell who basically ruined it from the first episode for me.

I think it's very funny. I find the father somewhat annoying, but I really enjoy all the other actors. His brother is great and so is Jane Leeves. The stuff in the studio is pretty funny too.

Actually, I think it's a synergetic effect, i.e. they're log-rolling each other. FRASIER has his built-in audience from CHEERS, and it is also a very good show. So, you get some people who watch FRASIER and heard the buzz on SEINFELD and decided to tune in. Then you have the Sein-waves who hang in to catch Frase.
