In a lot of markets the channel that shows Seinfeld is a Fox affialate. Now that Drew Carrey is being syndicated both Channel 45 (Fox Baltimore) and channel 5 (Fox Washington DC) no longer carry our favorite disfunctional quartette. Now I wonder if this is just in my area or does it affect other parts of the country?
Other people who browse this newsgroup should post what the situation is in there area. Fortunately for me & others the show is still being shown on channel 47 (ABC Salisbury.)
That's odd, and risky. Seinfeld rerun ratings across the US and Canada
didn't erode this past season, remaining strong (almost as strong as Wheel of
Fortune) even though almost every episode's now been through multiple plays.
Carey is a good show, but it's a show with unproven potential in syndication.
My guess is, you'll find another station in each of those markets has
outbid the existing rights holder in those markets.
In our area (Buffalo and Rochester NY and Toronto markets), by the way,

In Los Angeles, Seinfeld is currently on KTLA channel 5 (WB network) but I have seen commercials lately that another show will fill in Seinfeld's spot (7:30pm). They say Seinfeld will be on channel 5 at 11:30pm now. After Friends re-run. I believe this happens September 20th.

You can point your antenna towards the city again and get seinfeld. If you wanted to. Why are you so dumb? Buy a tv guide and put on the channel that corresponds to what is printed there, and you should be OK.
