The Benes Charm

It appears to me that much of Elaine's famous charm that she "tattoos" on unfortunate men like Russell Dalrymple is vanishing. The good old Elaine of long dresses, big hair, and goofy humor is being replaced by a short-haired psycho. I think all the time she spends with her dysfunctional buddies is finally getting to her. Too bad:-)

I know! I watch the syndicated shows and think, "She was so cute!" I know people here have said that women normally do change their "look." That's true, but hers sure have changed for the worse!

I watched "The soup nazi" a few days ago. She has always had a bit of a psycho in her. However, I hope the hair grows long again before that half hour portion of our week known as "Seinfield" passes from the network schedules.

Elaine has never had charm. She's amusing because she is totally out of her mind. Why else would she date a guy like Jimmy, who constantly talks in the third person, or that other guy, the Face Painter? How about the Close Talker, or that man who was old enough to be her dad (he had a stroke)? Best of all, there was the episode where she breaks up with a pefectly nice guy (whose book she's editing) because he didn't put an exclamation mark on a phone message...and in a particularly brilliant stroke of psychosis, she presents her edited version of the book with an exclamation mark after each sentence...!

It was cold outside, so I put on my sweatshirt! I put the money in, but the Clark bar wouldn't come out!

	Elaine can be cute, I think.  When she complains to Jerry about Kramer
walking in on her: "Jeeeer-reee!  He saw me naked!  How can I go ooonnn?"
	And the entire "Fake" speech:
	Jerry: "The yelling? The screaming? The panting? The moaning?"
	Elaine: "Fake. Fake. Fake. Fake."
	J: "How could I not know?"
	E: "Cuz I'm gooood!"

	And The Look:
	"What was that?"
	"What was what?"
	"That look."
	"What look?"
	"The look you gave me."
	"I gave a look."
	"You! Gave a look."
	"What kind of look?"
	"I know that look!"

	That dialogue is why I think the show should end with Jerry and Elaine
getting together for good.  That have a good chemistry, and she likes him
knowing all his little neuroses.
