I am Frendh so this is why I need the answer of people living in America. I heard once in this newsgroup that the entire series will be released on DVD for Christmas. Was it? In case it was not are they any plans of a release soon on DVD or VHS?

I have no official information, just my experience with top television shows as a viewer. My opinion is that the Seinfeld series will not be released for quite a long time. I'm talking 5 to 6 years from now. The fact that Seinfeld is # 2 or # 3 sitcom in syndication reruns right now gives the people who own the rights to the show very little incentive to release the series on VHS or DVD. Time-Warner which owns the syndication rights starting in 2001 has not even had a chance for a single run of the show and any release of episodes early or late would not be to their advantage. (By the way Ted Turner, under Time Warner paid a very high price for the syndication package & 3wants to have exclusive rights as much as possible. Finally using the sitcom MASH as an example, the series will in all likelyhood be released in seasons. Pilot & season #1 for a year or 6 months then season # 2 & 3 would be released. This is what happened to MASH & other popular series LONG after the show finished it's prime time network run and after endless syndication re-runs. It's all of matter of money & the time is not right money wise for the release on tape or cd., JUST MY OBSERVATION.
