Queens, Brooklyn or Long Island?

Where did George grow up? His parents currently live in Queens, reference has been made to that 100 times. George and Jerry went 'Edward R. Murrow Jr High'. This school really does not exist, but there is an Edward R. Murrow high school, and that's located in Brooklyn. Jerry (or was it George?) went to Queens college. And in the episode where George desperately wants to have a Black friend, to prove to Morgan that he's not racist, he mentions that he would have marched on Selma (w/Martin Luther King) if it was located on Long Island. He also makes another reference to all the girls from Long Island he knew growing up had nose jobs. And how likely is it thast his folks moved from LI to Queens to retire -- not likely. So where is George from? And does anyone know where Kramer is from?

The high school they went to was JFK. The original poster talked about a middle school.
