NEW YORK (AP) - He wore his bachelorhood as a badge of honor, but comedian Jerry Seinfeld has finally shed it.
The 45-year-old Long Island native wed fiancee Jessica Sklar Saturday in a quiet ceremony after sundown - in accordance with Jewish tradition.
Best man and fellow joker George Wallace told the Daily News his toast to the newlyweds was ``very dark and burnt.''
The bride, a 28-year-old public relations executive, wore a simple, white, spaghetti-strap, empire-waist gown with her dark hair pulled back at the nape of her neck.
Seinfeld sported the traditional black tux - and yes, a shiny new ring.
The two met last year, just weeks after Sklar married Broadway producer Eric Nederlander. Sklar and Nederlander divorced a few months after that.
They became engaged last month and hinted that the wedding would come before year's end. That left the news media camping out on Seinfeld's sidewalk as Dec. 31 approached.
But the man who has made millions on his long-running sitcom, in part, by glorifying the single life and poking fun at commitment, eluded the press on his wedding day by using a decoy limousine.
His honeymoon plans were kept quiet, too.
