Ma-Nure

In the episode where George takes the waitress from Monks out and talks about Manure, what does he mean when he talks about a "ma", which is good, and a "nure"?

Absolutely nothing. It is the incoherent babble of a neurotic, insecure man who is panicked trying to impress a woman and not able to deal with not saying anything, so he spews whatever pops into his neurotic head.

This is from "The Soup" (Season 6, Episode 93), the episode where Jerry has to buy Bania a meal in exchange for the Armani suit.

Actually, George says that "nure" is good, with a "ma" in front of it:

George [talking to Kelly the waitress]: Oh. It's just horse manure (huh huh - laughs, he points back at the horse that walked by) Horse manure's not that bad. I don't even mind the word "manure." You know, it's, it's "nure," which is good. and a "ma" in front of it. MA-NURE. When you consider the other choices, "manure" is actually pretty refreshing.

Later, he recounts the conversation with Jerry:

George: Yeah. You know, about how when you break it down, it's really a very positive thing. you know, you have a "nure," with a "ma" in front of it. MA-NURE. It's not bad.

In a later episode, "The Cadillac (2)" (Season 7, Episode 125), he is talking to Marisa Tomei, and says:

GEORGE: ...So, anyway, if you think about it, manure is not really that bad a word. I mean, it's 'newer', which is good, and a 'ma' in front of it, which is also good. Ma-newer , right?
