Howdy gang,

Inspired by both this week's "Entertainment Weekly" and several e-mail requests for clarification of items in the FAQ list, I figure it would be a handy thing to have a glossary of sorts enclosed with the FAQ. This would simply be an extension of the recent discussion of "Seinfeld-isms" from alt.tv.seinfeld.

Basically, it would be a simple compilation of terms/objects (with a *brief* definition for each) that one should be familiar with, such as:

Snapple -- Fruit beverage (local to the U.S.) popular with characters on the show.

or...

"Not that there's anything wrong with that" (aka "NTTAWWT" or "NTTA*W*WT") -- Oft-quoted refrain from "The Outing" episode where George and Jerry are accused of being gay...

Well, you get the idea.

Any memorable prop (i.e. Drake's Coffee Cakes) or infamous one-liner ("You're sooooo good looking...") that's not already explained in the FAQ would apply.

As a start, I'm thinking of the aforementioned items, plus:

CantSTANDya, Pez, Hennigan's, Master of your domain, Yo Yo Ma, These pretzels are making me thirsty, the reason george doesn't carry pencils in his pocket, Dockers, the parking garage, the chinese restaurant, Jerry's parent's fold-out bed, the Baltimore Orioles, Calvin Klein, blah, blah, blah...

Anyhoots, I'm looking for a ton of help on this, so please *post* (e-mail if you have to) some terms and definitions and I'll shove 'em in the FAQ list.

The next posting of the FAQ is Tuesday, April 13th, BTW...

Later, Scott --- By day, [email], by night, rec.sport.hockey Ottawa Senators Contact TODAY'S .SIG: [Pay heed, for this quote/word/fact may alter your very being!] "(Chad) Erickson was a complete joke. He will never play for us again. The guy who drafted him should be dead." -- Cincinnati coach Dennis Derosiers )-> In case it's not obvious, BNR and I may or may not share these views. <-(

No, there are other flavors of Snapple besides the iced tea ones. (Grape, fruit punch, lemonade, etc.)

Well why don't you just take the one in Entertainment Weekly, then we can add on to that. It was fairly extensive. I can't think of any right off the top of my head, but seeing the ones already there may spur some ideas.

I tried to stay out of this as long as possible, but this is just getting ridiculous.... why don't we just take THE WHOLE DAMN SCRIPT FROM EVERY EPISODE EVER MADE AND STICK IN THE DAMN FAQ....

Jesus guys, let's get real here.... if someone misses a passing reference to a particular episode.... awwww... get some tapes, keep watching, sooner or later, you'll get the damn joke.....

I love Seinfeld to death, but his "glossary thread" is just totally out of control

Hmm... yes that's the DECAF over there, maybe I'll try that....

Are you sure about that, I thought it was "They're VERY refreshing". However, I could just be hallucinating.
