On one of last week's shows (1/13), Jerry and Kramer very briefly had a discussion about a jacket--something about a guy with a jacket who went to jail for mail fraud, and Kramer intended to find out what happened to the jacket.... Anyway, does anyone know what that was all about? Were they referring to a previous episode?

Well, I don't remeber that particular reference, but I think I know what you're talking about. It was a recurring plot element in shows from a season or two ago. Basically it started with Kramer getting this jacket from his mother, whose boyfriend had left it at her apartment when they broke up. Kramer kept mentioning how much he loved the jacket. (I think he said it attracted women.) Eventually the boyfriend some how got it back. Then Kramer gets Elaine to pose as the boyfriend's daughter to go get the jacket from the boyfriend's apartment. (I assume this was during the jail time for mail fraud you refer to.) This was the same jacket that Kramer had to give to the Cubans to get more cigars.

Yes, and Kramer goes along disguised as "Professor von Nostrum", complete with pipe. After all that scheming to acquire the jacket he trades it to the Cubans for the cigars.

I'm almost positive that Kramer did use the jacket in an episode to get a woman. I'll have to check my video tapes.
