Curb your Acting Quality...

So I saw my first episode of "CYE" last night. I was fairly impressed by the plot and storyline, but the acting was a little sub-par for something that I feel should be a major production. I guess when you bring in quite a few people that aren't actors, then you run that risk. This is assuming that most of the roles played were by the actual people, not actors (save the extras) -- I didn't think to watch the credits. What (if any) are your comments? .ted

I can see how it could the show could be seen as sub-par, because the show is rough; it is certainly not a "major production". Two digital cameras and a improvised script probably create for the sub-par/rough feel of the show. That is personal taste, and that's fine, but for me personally, I love it, it reminds me of a couple of interesting

So this is directed Ed Wood style with only one take per scene? Or do you think they just use one of the first takes to emphasize the spontaneity of the show? You make a strong point which changes my outlook a little from what I had in mind before I saw it. I have seen a few more since the first post of the thread, and I like the humor and creativity. I just have a hard time watching the scenes that get flubbed or go nowhere because someone missed a line or cue. Funny overall, though. You can call me a fan. .ted
