Marc DeCarlo played a character named, "Alec Berg" in the ep where Jerry doesn't thank him for the hockey tickets and ends up painting his chest with Puddy. (I think I got all that right...)

Anyway, ever notice that in the opening credits, one of the names is "Alec Berg" too?

Sure. They loved naming characters for real people. Costanza and Kramer were named for real people.

Among others, Joe Davola, Joe Mayo, Alec Berg, Bob Sacamano, Scott Drake, Stevie Koren, Christine Nyhart and Mr. Elinof were all named for production staff or 'friends of Seinfeld.'
