I was thinking about jerry/george/kramer/elaine's political views (with the american elections coming up etc. :)
I would say:
George - Republican (he's forced to vote this by this parents :) Jerry - Democrat (dunno really, i think jerry is really a-political) Kramer - Green party (don't know if you have this in the states) Elaine - Republican (regarding her background)

I think the point of the series is too poke fun at people's irrational self interest and crazy foibles. So I'd say none of them would even be registered. one might if they got a bee in their bonnet about some weird (selfish) policy.
As an aside I watched the episode where Elaine dates the "communist" Ned. I hate that episode. A "communist" who likes the regimes in China and North Korea but is happy to be associated with Trotsky! I think a major a part of history has been ignored - but what's new!

Agreed. From my limited knowledge of US political persuasions (I live in the UK, but read a *lot* of US politics on Usenet) I can see no way in *hell* is Elaine a Republican voter. She won't even consider dating a pro-Lifer so obviously she lets her politics infringe on her social life, but she's happy to go out on separate occasions with a Democrat, a communist *and* a gay man. Taking into account all the other activist type stuff, if she didn't vote for the Democrats it would only because she felt they weren't left wing *enough*.
