I'm interested if someone's got some real, hard evidence about the Letterman-Jerry thing. Does anybody know anything besides rumors?

Yea---Jerry and his agent. Seriously, Jerry and his future are a hot topic right now. In a Time Magazine article, Jerry mentioned he might consider a talk show in the future along with several other possibilities. So the "rumor" had enough thread of believability for radio djs to spin a whole story about Jerry replacing the most vulnerable talk show host, Letterman. I am sure there is a chance down the road for that to happen--but I think CBS will not get rid of Letterman anytime soon since he is holding his own and has a contract for at least another year. alt showbiz gossip
