I'm curious how certain people expect a show that has been on for nine years to remain as fresh and quirky as it has been. I once read an interview with Julia Louis-Dreyfuss a year or so ago about how she thought that when it ended, they should all go down in a firey plane crash. It seems that the show stuck it to all of those who complained that it stepped on their toes one too many times. So they ended up in jail! Hah! Cool. This is the way that Seinfeld and David wanted to end it and since they wrote for the show all these years (minus two for David) it's completely up to them. Hell, I thought it was a funny fitting end for a show like Seinfeld. What do you expect? This from a show that joked about homosexuality, masturbation, death (Susan and numerous others) so hey. Jail for them all. Cool!
