How about that new theme song which they tried out at the beginning of last season (or was it the season before that?)? I remember disliking it and thinking it wouldn't last long, and sure enough, after two or three shows, the old one was back.
(I'm talking about the theme song with the female background singers added)
I'm sure others must remember this. What was the reason it was pulled? What was the reason they tried it in the first place, for that matter?

FYI (in case this isn't in the FAQ) -
Seinfeld's theme music is done by one guy, Jonathan Wolff. Jerry
called him up and asked for music to accompany his standup routines
which are at the start and end of the show. So Wolff listened to
some of Jerry's comedy, and tried to create music to match Jerry's
vocal "melody" and quirky rhythm. The bass line was made strong
so that the music could stand on its own (e.g. during credits),
but since the bass line is in a low register, it doesn't drown
out Jerry's voice during the standup.
Everything is done electronically with synthesizers and samplers.
This info came from a "user magazine" (read: booklet of hype) from

Yup, I remember it, I think the background singers were saying, "Heeyy". That theme was only on the episode 'The Note'. I have no idea why it was added or why it was pulled, but I also hated it.
The ending theme was also very different. I'm not sure of the title, but it sounded like an old 40's or 50's song, singing about Joltin' Joe DiMaggio.
Except for the intro theme, that was a great episode.
