Have elaines parents ever been on the show? Or even mentioned? Seems all the other characters have parent[s]. Didnt jerry date her ?cousin? once?
Might even settle the 'Is elaine Jewish' debate once and for all.... Naaaah, doubt it.

I just saw a show with Elaine's father. Jerry, George, and Elaine were all supposed to meet him for dinner and Elaine was late, so Jerry and George had to hang with him alone. He was this horrible, demanding, intimidating, disagreeable man and Jerry and George were scared to be alone with him. Later on, Jerry's new suede jacket got ruined because he would not walk down the street with Jerry with his jacket inside out. as far as the Jewish thing you mentioned. He could be a scary old man of any ethnicity

Elaine's father (the novelist) is drawn as a com- bination of Mickey Spillane's toughness and J.D. Sal- inger's aloofness and brusqueness. We've never met her mother, which of course leaves open some ter- ritory for a future episode to cover. Benes is a Hun- garian name, so presumably that's her ancestry.

Elaine's father is a famous writer who is based on Hemingway. In the episode, Jerry, George, and Elaine are supposed to meet him at the hotel. Elaine is late, leaving G and J to talk with him. He barely says two words, and when he does he nearly bites their heads off. He was played by Lawrence Tierney, the great character actor who was in Reservoir Dogs, BTW. Tierney has always been known for his volatile temper on the set, and he has used it to his advantage.
