Australian viewers frustrated that local TV channels repeat only early Seinfeld seasons while later episodes like The Bizarro Jerry remain unavailable in their region.
What is the deal with the Seinfeld reruns on Ten? They keep on showing the same few seasons over and over and over again! Don't they have any other seasons? If they don't, does anyone know if they have any plans to get any of the other seasons to show? The reason I'm asking is because I haven't seen a lot of the episodes that are talked about on this ng, especially "The Bizarro Jerry" and the one where Elaine humiliates herself with her crazy dance at some office party. I just got Foxtel, and I know they show Seinfeld reruns, but do they show all of the seasons?
It's stupid. They start from the episode where Jerry is afraid to tell George that he is dating his ex all the way up to that darn second last season. And start it all over again?!? And they leave out episodes like an old one when the drunk heckles at Jerry during his act and they only showed the non-fat ice cream or something once. Ahh, Seinfeld may be over but channel 10 will keep it alive for another nine years or so... Then they'll show The Brady Bunch... - Asclepius
Ten have to show old reruns because they are still playing the newer episodes (seasons 7,8,9) in special time slots. If they were moved to 7pm, then the special time slots would not register many ratings. They will be doing this for years to come until, all seinfeld episodes are considered old and are not worth running during special "prime time" slots.
Foxtel are playing them 5 times a week, and they are working there way up the season as they are played in order. I am not sure but I hope they will go all the way through to the finale, even though Ten have the rights for now.
I know, they are morons! Not only do they decide to not show season 8, but they go back to season 2, Now If they are going to start all over again, why not go back to the first episode, i know many people who havent seen that, because they've only showed it once (lucky i taped it). Also the idiots cannto show the episodes in sequential order, they have to skip chunks of seasons. Or any episode slightly risque they skip over. Also because of that moronic game show, battle of the sexes. When it runs over time, they cut bits out of the episodes to make them fit into half hour. Why cant they cut bits out of neighbours (a pathetic soapie) or Mad about you (another pathetic show) In The Invitations, they chopped the whole scene when Kramer tells jerry and jeannie that the bank teller said hey, and not hello. Then next thing, he's telling jerry he doesnt like jeannie. If you hadnt seen it before, you wouldn't understand why!
If anyone from channel 10 reads this, let me just tell you, that you suck big time, Give Seinfeld back to Channel Nine, when they used to show it at 10:30pm (long time ago). Seinfeld is a major cashcow for you, why mess with it. You wankers. Give my regards to Sandra Sully though, she is a babe.
you see the thing you must remember with channel ten is that it is run by a bunch of evil monkeys. ten are most likely saving the best episodes for special airings like the black label collection or just hoping that we will watch each and every weekday in hope that they will run the missing episodes even though we know they won't but we still watch in hope that they do. I'm still waiting to see the stranded and the non-fat yoghurt and of course i'll have to wait forever for 'the wizard' which due very unfortunate circumstances completely beyond my contol I had to miss. oh well. lea
