"Shrinkage"

Hello fellow Seinfeld friends,

Does anybody know the name of the episode where Jerry, Kramer, and Elanie meet up with George at a beach house, and George is worried about "shrinkage" the whole time? Jerry's girlfriend catches a glimpse of George changing, after he got out of the pool. For the rest of the episode, he tries to explain the reason for the "shrinkage." I don't think I've laughed that hard in a while.

I've only been tuning in for about a year now. How many seasons has this been running? How many episodes have aired total? If anybody knows, please e-mail me. This show is the best!

I might get laughed at for this post but i'm willing to take the risk. My question is: do they really shrink or was that just something they made up for the show???

just ask a bunch of scientific divers about to enter the water and spend a few hours working underwater. in the morning the wet suit is very tight "down there" but when we come out of the water everything seems to be very comfortable, and there's even extra space

Many have responded that they do really shrink, but no one's mentioned why (that I've seen).

So, as a public service announcement (and this really should have been taught in high school):

Miosis (production of sperm cells) in the human male takes place slightly *below* body temperature. That's the whole reason those things swing around down there... they don't like it too hot. So when they get too cold they like to come closer to the warmth.

This is also the reason why Kramer had to start wearing boxers in an older episode ("My babies need a home!")... wearing tight underwear doesn't allow the natural temperature regulation and things get "too hot" for effective miosis.

Well, that explains testicular shrinkage, and is an explanation most people knew already. However, I do believe the the original comment was on the "shrinkage" of the penis (as in Elaine saying "IT shrinks?!?". And, yes, to answer the ladies' question, "it" DOES!
