Thursday coattails shows

Anyone who is impressed by the good ratings of the NBC 8:30 and 9:30 Thursday shows should note that once Caroline in the City, #3 or 4 all last year, moved to Tuesday it promptly dropped right out of the top 20.

That is not true.Caroline in the city is holding well at about #17. The show is in the top twenty. The same thing happened to Frasier. After it moved out of the Thursday line up it dropped to the around there too. That was the idea. NBC outs these shows in the thursday line up and after they gain enough viewers they move it. It stays in the top twenty and leaves room for NBC to bring in another series.

Unfortunately for "Caroline and the City" it's up against that OTHER city show--- "Spin City." I haven't seen the ratings but I have seen this show---Michael J. Fox is as adorable and entertaining as ever! I always liked watching Caroline though--- it's cute, but it's definitely not MUST SEE TV (like Seinfeld is!!!) and, given the choice (which we are...), I'd take the humor of MJF over Lea Thompson any day!!
