Kramer = The Fonz

So what do you think, is this a logical comparison. Think of later "Happy Days " episodes, where the Fonz would enter, get an ovation, and do his standard schtik, "Woah, heyyyyyy", punch the jukebox, etc. Kramer makes his entrance through the door, time for an ovation. Relying on already established jokes is certainly alot easier than writing new ones, and besides, you don't want to alienate that big mainstream American audience by, gasp, making them think. You clap for Kramer, I'm bitter.

I agree. Something's happened. Kramer and George to me were always supporting characters. They seem to have taken over this season. I think it' s because they're easier to write for than Jerry and Elaine.
