Hey obscure movie buffs! Remember the episode where Kramer is running around a hospital and stumbles into "Pigman"--a half-man, half-pig? Do you think this is a reference to the 1973 Lindsay Anderson film "O Lucky Man!" in which Malcolm McDowell runs around a hospital and stumbles into a room with a half-pig, half-man? Of course in the film, they actually showed the bizarre creation and it's enough to swear you off pork rinds for good.
By the way, it's a GREAT movie...

You know, I saw "O Lucky Man" many years ago in college, and, until you mentioned it, I had no recollection of that scene. However, I do remember feeling an uneasy sense of deja vu when I first saw the Kramer/"Pig Man" sequence. Thanks for reminding me of something locked into the deep recesses of my mental hard drive. I have no doubt that you are correct in connecting the two scenes.
Still, you have to wonder if the writers tried to make a conscious reference to this movie. Most of the references (Superman, "JFK", "Nixon", etc) are very mainstream and "O Lucky Man!" is an extremely (by American movie-viewing standards) obscure film... I am doubtful that they did this on purpose.
