kramer said the hat that went with the suit made him feel like Joe Friday from Dragnet. Did the guy steal the statue or not? Im puzzled.

You can't tell from the episode, but the guy did say he got it from a pawn shop. Maybe somebody else got in to Jerry's apartment, stole it, and sold it to a pawn shop. But, as Elaine says, "It's a big coincidence."

I think Kramer acted that way because of the suit Jerry gave him. Remember he said it made him feel like a detective(don't remember which one). But I think he was just wanting to play cop. Plus, I don't think anyone can ever fully explain Kramers behavior. I think he sustained a blow on the head as an infant!!!!

I taped the episode with the stolen statue but, with me being an idiot, my vcr clock was wrong and I missed the last minute. The last thing I saw was Kramer gathering the gang together after he took back the statue. Can anyone tell me how it ended?????

I didn't mind it, it's typical George Luck... Figures that Kramer would help him out for once, and he'd make him break it in the same story...

George is holding the statue and Kramer slaps him on the back. The statue flies out of George's hands and breaks.

I ALWAYS tape a couple of minutes after the show is suppose to end (mainly because it comes on after the 10:00 news which often runs late).

Once Kramer got the gang together he pulled the statue from out of his bag. When George saw it he was quite happy that the statue was back in his hands. He asked Kramer how he could thank him. As Kramer told him that he would think of something, he slapped George on the back. As a result, George dropped the statue and it broke.
