Does anyone else think that the show has become a little too commercial lately? It seems to be losing its old Seinfeld-ness. For example, the guy photographing George's hands referring to "Master of Domain" and if that wasn't bad enough, George had to say, "Don't worry, I won a bet." C'MON! Before, you would have to have watched the old shows to have gotten the jokes. I think the show is catering to its new audience. The show was better when it wasn't so popular.
Different Feel As of Late...
Fans debate whether the show has become too commercial and populist, losing its old charm as it gains a mainstream audience; some note increased group scenes feel chaotic compared to earlier dynamics.

I agree that the show seems different now that it's so popular... I didn't like the reference to the "master of his domain" because I thought it should be an inside (within Jerry's circle of friends) joke, but I DID like the fact that they revealed who won "the contest".

The amount of time that all four characters appear in the same scene together has gone way up it seems. I enjoy the interplay between Jerry and each character, and between George and Elaine, but Jerry and the group doesn't work as well for me. The scenes become a little too chaotic with all four of them airing their neurosis at the same time.
