Larry David

I read a news report sometime back that Larry David was fired (could have quit too, I don't exactly remember) and remember noticing that he was missing from the executive producers list for a long time.

But he seems to have come back for the production on last week's episode (Pimple Popper episode).

Any factual confirmation/news about what happened?

Can someone please tell me when Larry David left the show? And, what were the reported circumstances of his leaving?

He left after the episode entitled "The Invitations" (Susan dies from licking envelopes) at the end of Season 7. It aired 5/20/96. I've read that Larry was burnt out and felt he was putting too much of his life into the show, because he is a perfectionist. Others have heard different. Jon B.

Lisa. You're being offended when there was nothing aimed your way. For the past several weeks we've been joking on this newsgroup that the two questions that are ALWAYS asked are: When/Why did Larry David leave? and What religion is Jerry/George/Elaine/Kramer, etc.

It was intended as a little nudge in the side to all my ats pals who answer these two questions a couple of times a day.

Really wasn't offended WT, just a bit discouraged -- I just happened to run into a brief reference to his leaving which included no details, and became curious. Before asking the question, I had scanned the subject lines of the posts thinking it must have been discussed at length in the past but, found nothing.

Aye, there's the rub.  No FAQ yet.  From what I gather, it's in the works, and
the first draft should be made available sometime around the new year.

What were some of the accomplishments that can be attributed to Larry David before he took up the reins to the Seinfeld Show?

Has he any plans of writing for the silver screen?

What, Larry David was an actor on FRIDAYS?! (One of the best shows ever, but the show would have been a LOT better if they'd scratched those skits about the kids playing "war" in the sandbox.)

I remember Larry David on Fridays saying,"Women look at me and say,"He's the reason I'm a lesbian' ". I also remember one of Michael Richard's characters on the show wearing a Speedo, socks, and shoes at the beach, much like Kramer auditioning for Calvin Klein.
