If Jerry & George's show ends up being about two guys writing a TV sitcom, I'm going to have to kill someone.

Perhaps Wade Boggs.

BTW, where is that Kramer gif hiding out? Archie found a few things named kramer, but not THE Kramer. A.b.p.m doesn't seem to get it, but that group probably expires every other day here.

Not likely. It'll be a show about nothing. It'll be like the best of Seinfeld(i.e. waiting for a table at a Chinese restaurant, going to a movie,etc)

I should have quit while I was behind with the Crying Game script. I wrote this bit awhile ago, and decided it wasn't funny enough to post, but now I can't resist:

Jerry and George are lounging around at Jerry's place, trying to come up with a concept for their show. George, bored and uninspired, wanders over to Jerry's desk and starts fiddling with his Mac. By accident, he signs onto a net news program, and discovers a news group about creating a hypothetical sit-com. (say, alt.tv.sit-com.creative.nothing)

George gets interested and calls Jerry over to see. As they read, they come across an article which describes a plot idea for a show.

Jerry looks thoughtful for a moment, and then says

Jerry: "What if the guys on our show - " George: [holding up an index finger] "Which is about nothing" Jerry: "Right, which is about nothing. What if these guys get the chance to write for their own tv show - " George: [pretending to scratch his beard] "Interesting" Jerry: "After all, these guys are just like us - " George: [extending one arm, palm turned down] "just like us" Jerry: "And we have a tv show - " George: "Which is about nothing" Jerry: "So its perfectly natural that the guys on OUR show should get a chance to create THEIR show" George: [delighted] "This is great!"

They go on to decide that the guys on their show, who are so desperate for a plot idea, rip off a net news group, but can't sell it to the network brass who think the whole idea is too self-referential and confusing for their simple minded audience.

Heck, was I the ONLY person out there who Liked this show? Sure, Kramer's plumbing problems were a little strange, but on the whole, I enjoyed it. And to those of you who think it should go back to being a show about nothing, that's exactly why they had the show get cancelled. I was expecting to read a lot of positive stuff and I haven't seen any so far. The season ending episode of Seinfeld was loads better than the final Cheers. Seinfeld provided closure of the season, answering almost all the unanswered questions (his dad's wallet) and I thought bringing back almost all the characters we met was a great idea.

Did anybody else notice George at the snack bar before the taping? George took a chip, and of course, double-dipped it.

Oh well, I liked it.

I myself was expecting the guy playing "Kramer" to accuse George of double-dipping and getting into a fight over it!

Jeez, I wish I could remember names... the following would be a lot clearer if I could. First there was the TV exec that George dated. She later turned up with her lover in the video store. That lover eventually ended up in bed with Kramer. The TV exec later met George for coffee, because George needed to try to rescue his ego from the shame of having "driven" her to be a lesbian. While they were there, another of George's former girlfriends happened to run into them, and there was a rather clear mutual attraction between her and the TV exec. I believe it was these two women who were watching "Jerry."

That's what I was thinking! How sick we all are of that stupid milk of magnesia commercial, not to mention the really bad commericals for Ex-Lax and various fiber remedies?

A little reality sneaking in there.....

it was a good show, just a little strange, or shall i say surreal.

I thought this last show was lame compared to all the other shows (with the exception of Kramer's plumbing trouble) and Elaine's part was the PITS this time. But, even as lame as the episode was, its the greatest show on the air by a mile. I wish they would put Mad About You on after Seinfeld - they go together, don't you think?!

I thought is was quite funny, certainly not a classic, but better than The handicap spot - One of the better features was just how crummy the pilot was - The set, the theme, the actors, all the pits -

I have one question - Was there any reference to Elaine dating the president of NBC in a previous show?

With regards to the post asking if there had been a previous reference to the president dating Elaine (sorry, but I am not good at quoting text - I hate vi}...

The president was obsessing on her because of the time when she flashed cleavage at him in a restaurant because the pres wanted to cancel the show because......well if you are a regular Seinfeld watcher you will either remember this or forgive me for not cheapening a Seinfeld plot with my inadequate recounting...

Its not that it was bad compared to everything else on tv, but compared to its usual day in day out comedic brilliance, it was not a good episode. It also hurt that it was the season finale so everyone was ready for an hour long comedic tour de force. Big expectations, low paayback. But yeah, it was way better than cheers, but when isn't seinfeld better than cheers.
