Just because the show is shot in LA doesn't mean everything is done in LA>
The diner's exteriors are definitly from NYC, so doesn't it stand to reason that the record store's exteriors were shot here, too?
Plus, I work in Greenwich Village ... I spend way, way too much time at Bleeker Bob's. That was our store.
