Is it just me or has anyone noticed that the episodes are really getting stooopid. Seinfeld also runs in syndication in this area and the old episodes deal with much funnier topics (i.e Elaine faking her orgasm, the quiet talker and pirate outfits, George eats too much kung-pao chicken making him sweat, the "spare a tissue square" bathroom stall scene, etc.). Last nite's was just too idiotic... Jerry was too obsessively annoying with the girl friend/same clothes bit (just like he was with the mutton/napkin stealing and the bread theft from the old lady), Elaine's aching neck, George's "Seven"... Maybe it's just because the characters are too predictable or the writers are running out of ideas, but whatever reason, the show just isn't as funny as it use to be.
What's wrong with Seinfeld!??!!?

No it's not.
How on earth is a plotline about wanting to name a child "Seven" any more idiotic or any less potentially funny than a plotline about sweating from kung pao chicken? I don't think it's the ideas, I think it's the viewers. More precisely, they really should end the show this year, since we can only take so many episodes about "nothing." In its first season, Thursday's night's episode might have seemed funnier, but we've been there, done that. It's not so much the individual ideas, but the entire format. So unless they make radical changes next year, I'll only be dropping by Thursday nights by accident, rather than making a point of it like I used to.

I have to agree. I think the Seven episode is probably the worst ever. The only redeeming scene, IMHO, is where Newman is being used to mediate a dispute between Kramer and Elaine.

I watched this show about the woman who takes animals from their owners who cannot keep them any more. She sells them to labs for research. I may get myself in trouble saying this in an open forum, but this is one reason I would become a maniac with a gun! I would have absolutely NO problem strangling, with my bare hands, and killing with brutality, anyone who does this to animals. One can only hope along with OJ (who cut his wife's head off and stabbed Ron Goldman 35 times), this, and anyone else who does this to animals, or human beings, suffer in firey car accidents where they have to live with scars all over their bodies and in terminal pain for the rest of their lives...in jail. And what exactly was Datelines point? I would respect them more if they actually did something about this horror that goes on daily in America and elsewhere.
