I mostly market these to overseas customers however anyone can buy them. since I am about to be hit with the economic hardtimes I thought I could reoffer them again, I guess there is still a market for them becuase I still get messages about once a week for them even though I have not advertised them since october or novemeber
so here is the deal for those not familiar with them.
contained on 24 cds are the entire collection of seinfeld including bloopers reels. screen size is 320x240. they are complete and uncut and not recorded from syndication sources. each file was encoded at 450 kbs. each file is around 80 megs for a typical 22 minute episode. they stream off the cd so no need to copy them to HD. they are no longer labeled but numbered (label design and program are contained on disc for those with means to print them) and are contained in tyvek sleeves (acceptable matching commercial cases were getting scarce and expensive). pricing is still $100 but now for overseas as well as domestic. this includes postage as well, thanks to the lighter packaging.
everybody who frequents this newsgroup will surely know the line of work. some like them, some don't. I was planning on a reencode for divx however they are being offered for free (some of them). and I already have them done and I don't want to change them so please don't ask. As it stands, it took aout a month and a half to encode these and I don't want to give that up just for a smaller size. I have done the comparisons and divx, althought a fine codex, I am not able to get the same quality out of from my source (the seinfeld tapes) and the tweaks needed. the only difference would be twelve discs for me.
also I am sure this will cause a lot of grief to people in here. so I am sorry in advance. my opinion is this. I am offering these for sale and I have took the episodes and encoded them and packaged them for people who would like them that way. I offer a service for sale. the convience of a self contained series of seinfeld (one of the greatest shows ever!) of which hard work and promotion went into them. bottom line is that I am getting laid off not jerry seinfeld or castlerock. so please don't say theft is still theft. I have heard it already. if you don't agree then that is you opinion. and in this great nation (of which I also spent eight years in the military to help defend) you are entitled to it. even if I don't agree with you. it is still a valid point.
