Official naming structure

I was wondering - what is your fav naming convention for the file names?

I think Seinfeld-S#E##-The_Title.avi is a good way to go.

On Kazaalite I find some really crazy naming conventions, and gnucleus likewise.

Seinfeld - 113 - The Sponge.avi

according the mikes website, that is 119. I know Seinfeld has his own little numbering scheme, which he used once... which puts them in the correct order. Is there one simple document with them all listed, in ascii, uniformly represented?

Seinfeld - 407 - The Bubble Boy.avi Seinfeld 4-447 The Bubble Boy.avi

If I was to make a title screen, where you could select movies (don't get excited, and yes, it does involve DVD) how would you like them represented? Only by name? Number and name? S#E## Name?

I am also looking for as much seinfeld related errata as possible, does anyone have any remix videos or MP3's ? I have some of "the funniest lines" as MP3, but would like some video remixes of each character. Any ideas to storyboard some for each character? (I also have the castings - quite funny)

I think "seinfeld sXXeXX [capped by] The Episode.mpg" is the way to do it. That way they will all sit in a nice alphabetical order when you try and watch them / organise them.

It's a pain when you have 3 different ways of naming the files. (production, broadcast, etc.) I recommend using the superb: http://www.tvtome.com/tvtome/servlet/EpisodeGuideServlet/showid-112/ to check on those eps that come from Kazaa(lite) and have been labelled ambiguously (eg. does 103 mean "103 of 180" or "s1, e03", or s10,e03 etc... OK, there's no s10 but you know what I mean!) This way you can check based on the title, or by watching a few seconds of it and working out which one it is. Sometimes they appear to have been labelled based on the production number which is not nec. the same as the intended broadcast number, that can be confusing. -
