I heard some rumours about Michael Richards considering a Kramer spin-off after 'Seinfeld' goes off the air...any grain of truth to this?

Geez I hope not. He can't fly by himself.
I agree that it doesn't seem like Kramer could handle the show by himself, but who really thought when Cheers went off the air, that Fraiser would become so sucessfull by himself. I think Kramer would be hilarious, the possibilities of the show could be amazing, I'm sure it would be full of guest appearances by the other 3, Newman, and all the other minor characters. I can't see what they'd do with him, can't have him live in the same apartment, what would they do with Jerry, he spends almost all his time with Jerry anyway.
That's one problem with stereotyping actors who find themselves in extremely successful roles!
No doubt a Kramer 4th of July special might be interesting, and might provide material for FDR, Elaine, George, Mr. Costanza, and Babu? (Kramer's "corporation" --- Kramerica --- decides to begin operations as a "Travel Agency" specializing in vacation packages to Pakistan, and this necessitates maintaining a contact with the lost but not forgotten Babu! Babu finds this an excellent opportunity to return to the United States on a "business" trip, for which reason Jerry goes into hiding (maybe have some voiceovers or something) after receiving a series of death threats.
Jackie Childes (spelling?) --- Kramer's lawyer buddy --- is called in to handle claims that "Kramerica" has engaged in extensive immigration & naturalization fraud. Throw in some charges of Peach Schnapps smuggling, too.
That's right, either "Kramer's Independence Day" special, or, better yet, a Michael Richards variety show. No, scratch the last one. The guy has been stereotyped so badly he'll be relegated to writing and producing.
Michael Richards is on record as saying that he doesn't want a Kramer spinoff. He has stated that Kramer belongs with the gang.

At least Frasier has something to do (psychiatrist with a radio call-in show.) What would Kramer do for a half an hour to base a show around him? This is not a slam on the character by the way.
