1st attempt at a quiz.

I know of 2 instances where George says something "didn't take".

Q1. What are they and about what was it said? Q2. Any more instances of this by George (or anyone else)?

Yes. But how unfortunate and tragic, that when it was obvious the firefighters should have come out of the WTC their communication equipment did not work because Giuliani's funding did not allow the old equipment, known to be faulty, to be upgraded. This does not diminish these fine people's heroism but hopefully will eventually bring to light (when emotions cool somewhat) the dangers of constantly diminishing taxes at the expense to the health and safety of public workers. In Canada we are having the same political problems with our armed forces' equipment - helicopters and airplanes fall out of the sky, submarine leak and don't filter air properly, and people die but taxes are being cut.

Yep that's the 2nd answer. One of my favourite lines which I always use if hot after a shower. The other I knew of was Susan's Lesbianism - a great line that I heard for the 1st time the other day and it reminded me of the line from The Jimmy. The Latvian Orthodox conversion - I didn't know about and is another example. The other 2 mentioned by TheNewsGuy(Mike) don't count as they refer to 'amounts' (time/prodding) rather than something being acceptable or not working out.
