Ass Man

I always liked the episode where Kramer gets the Ass Man license plates for his car by accident. I am seriously thinking about getting my South Dakota plates to say Ass Man next time I get them renewed.

Do you think the ppl at the motor vehicle office let you order such a licence plate?

DPaster has a good point. I know there is a long list of prohibitive "names" or words that the California Dept. of Motor Vech. will NOT allow on personal plates. Maybe South Dakota needs all the extra money they can get so ALMOST anything goes for personal plates.

I tried to order 'assman' here in New Zealand and they said the government thinks it may be offensive to some people, so pick another plate. I was not the first person to request it, either.

That's their problem. I purchased a replica NY state ASSMAN license plate from ebay. It looks *exactly* like the one from the episode, and I keep it in the corner of my windshield. I've gotten a few knowing smiles, but nobody's been openly offended yet.

Well, I also have a Vandelay Industries parking decal in the lower left corner of the windshield, but that's about it.

Where and when DID you get those replica NY plates like the ones Kramer put on his Impala in that episode? And how much did you pay? Think there might be more sets out there? 'Fusilli Jerry' is a favorite episode and a set of those plates would be a kick...

Hi Bob, I got it on ebay, I think the single plate cost me about $20 + shipping. I did a quick search and the seller either sold out or moved on because there are no entries. I'll go through my archived e-mail when I get home and see if I can get you the address of the person I bought it from.

If I had thought about it at the time, I would have gotten several, they'd make amazing gifts.
