Cosmo ?!?!?!

Well, we all know Kramer's first name now (personally, I liked Boutros-Boutros as a possible first name). Reactions? Do we like it or not?

God, I hope so. When they made such a big deal out of him using the new name, and with everyone calling him Cosmo at the end, I started to wonder if there might be new legal trouble with using the name "Kramer" because of that guy named Kramer that Larry David knew.

I don't really believe this; it's just a nagging fear. I'm sure all will be well next week. I hope.

It seems clear that Kramer embracing his first name went hand in hand with the reconciliation to his mother. If the final scene, where Kramer catches Newman groping mom, destroys that newfound bond (as I'm sure it will), the name will be just as easily repudiated.

What surprised me was that they revealed his name so early in the episode. There was so much anticipation with many occational viewers watching to find out Mr. Kramer's (sounds weird :-)) first name. The rest of the show was cute, but I personally felt an "emotional" let down in the last 20 minutes. What does everybody else think of this?

Best line in the show: George (after Jerry acknowledges he refused to take part in his little "menage-a-trois"):

"That's like discovering plutonium by accident!!!"

Actually ... I think you (and maybe others in this group) felt a let down because WE were anticipating the name. No doubt it wasn't discussed at any big length before the previews came out on TV by "non-net" folk. Since WE made it such a big deal, WE made it the most important part of the show FOR US. But the other characters in the show had things going on too (Jerry with the threesome, elaine getting caught, and george finding out if his gf is bulemic or not). Kramer's first name was only *PART* of this evening's episode. (Okay... taking off my padea(sp?) seminar hat now)

MWAHAHahhaaaa.... I *LOVED* that line!  Can you believe it ... all mens'
favorite fantasy... and The Jerster backs out!?  MWAHahahahaaa... I wonder how
many OTHER men would do the same thing in the same situation??

AGREED! That their "formula"!

A few people I've known (men) have done it and said that they get kind of "jealous" because of the two women intimacies. This could relate to the reasons why women can "talk" with each other about more personal things than men can.

think they are trying to carry the 'spaced-out' image too far, its ok, but there are others more usable for humor in future.

How the hell did net.folk guess COSMO to be the name before the episode. I have been seeing this name the whole week on a.f.s. Now how did this happen ? Is there a mole somewhere ?

Also, its strange that both Friends and Seinfeld should have a similar sub plot about a guy hitting on a friend's mother (Ok, Newman is not their friend exactly), but its weird all the same.

I see that not everybody here as well as some nasty letters like Kramer's first name? What are some suggestions with supporting reasoning?
