script submissions

Does Seinfeld take script submissions? If so, how does one go about the process? If not, why the hell not!?

Generally, shows don't like to accept unsolicited material in case they reject it and then one of the writers comes up with something similar and they get sued. I remember reading that Saturday Night Live used to have a special staff member (not a writer) handle/throwout/return unopened any submissions. There was an article, however, in one of the Toronto papers last year about a student in one of the college writing programs there who got through to a producer/assitant producer by phone and convinced him to take a look at a script. It was eventually rejected, but the guy received a lot of constructive criticism. I think it was a Seneca College student..anyone else know any more about this?
