Fans enjoy the absurd premise of George becoming temporarily paralyzed from sitting in a comfy chair, praising the physical comedy, the refrigerator gag, and the White Shadow callback.

I loved the refrigerator in the chair, and when George asked Jerry to be quiet because he was watching a rerun of The White Shadow!

And I thought the physical therapy scene at the end was great with straight-arms woman in the background. But what was George's very last line as he fell? I missed it.

There was no last line...he was kind of singing gibberish to his self as he was going down the stairs and then after he fell he said.."ow".

What I thought was funny about it is it seemed that Elaine, Jerry, and Kramer all said the same things about George's accident as they did when Susan died. Then they were just as insensitive about George's condition as they were when Susan died. It just showed how ultimately self centered they really are, which is sort of funny I guess.

Well, I'm really puzzled. May 15th's show (George's being paralyzed and trying to walk and falling down) left me bummed out.

There WERE some good elements. Raquel Welsh playing pretty close to the truth (if you look at what's going on as she tries to take over Julie Andrews's role in Victor/Victoria) as a musical performer of dubious talent. Elaine getting the book thrown at her for being catty when her male co-workers were catty first. Jerry and George teaming up to produce the perfect man (and falling short). Kramer at the Tonys. Scarsdale Surprise winning for best musical (about Jean Harris and Dr. Tarnower)! Now, THAT'S funny.

Look, I know George had to have his comeuppance for Susan and the invitations, but what I want to know is--did anybody laugh or was it just me?

i felt it was very insensitive, not funny at all, why end a sit-com like that? i was left thinking of a friend who depends on a wheelchair & her van to get to/from her JOB (she's not making 600 g's). if that was the point, the writer's convoluted thinking has gone too far. i won't be watching seinfeld next season.
