I have just finished reading the 'Customer Service in America' posts and was just wondering how do you tip a waiter/waitress when you are paying the bill by credit card? Do you pay the tip in cash?

If it's credit card you just add the tip to the amount being charged. Then you have the total amount including tip and all. In Canada we pay 10% for tip, I believe (is that right?). You just write the tip and total by yourself on the credit card bill.

I think all episodes that have Jerry's family in them are really funny. However, I don't like uncle Leo. He's too nasty! Also, he looks like a chinese woman, a man, and ... something. Seriously, just look at him again at the very end when Elain walks in and he just comes out from the bathroom wearing a bathrobe (in TOW Jerrry's parents stay at the Plaza when his apartment is being fumigated).

I don't include the tip on the credit card, I'd hate the idea of paying Visa 17% on my gratuity. :-) Unless of course the reason I'm paying with the card is because I have no cash on me, in which case I'll add it to the total when the server brings the receipt to be signed.
